I am an independent designer, art director and visual strategist providing creative solutions and shiny designs for a variety brands and businesses.
My career began in 2002 at Doyle Partners in New York City under the creative direction of Stephen Doyle and Tom Kluepfel. In 2007, I moved to Chicago and worked as a designer at VSA Partners under the creative direction of Dana Arnett.
In 2009, I opened my own studio and have had a blast working with a variety of clients both big and small – solving problems, making art, taking photos, and making shiny designs.

My Process
-
The development of your company’s visual identity might include the design, art direction and consultation for a variety of things:
- Logo
- Color Palette
- Typography
- Graphic Assets (illustration or photography)
- Language/Voice
- Website
- Signage
- Various Collateral Items
- Merchandise
- Visual Guidelines
- Production Help, etc...
A project like this typically starts with a conversation between us, discussing any initial ideas or challenges which helps me to then provide a detailed and descriptive estimate. Every client need is different, so I do not have a set fee for this process.
Once an estimate is approved, I will develop design direction options that are appropriate to the project. We will work together on those directions through conversations and revisions until we have a finsihed product. Finally, all approved files will be organized and handed over to you for your use!

Time for a brand refresh? Change is good! I can help you breath new life into an existing visual system through a variety of processes. Maybe you like everything you already have, but it just needs a fresh eye for some small changes. Or maybe the only thing you like is the name and you want a total redo. Or, maybe it’s somewhere in between.
In any case, I can help with that!
-
I have experience working with both large publishers like Scribner and with people who self-publish – both are great! I can help on a variety of fronts:
- Front and Back Cover Design
- Interior Styling
- Interior Design & Layout with Individual Page Styling

If you already have a great visual identity and system in place, but need an extra hand developing collateral items or doing some menu changes – I got you! Typically, I can do these sorts of odd jobs for my hourly rate of $150.
